Every son and daughter is born with a duty, an oath bound by Allah Himself — to respect, serve, and love our parents. This oath is not temporary. It is not a choice. It is eternal.
Yet in the noise of life, we forget. We slip. We rebel. We hear the reminders, but fail to live by them. What Allah has made sacred, we sometimes take for granted.
This year, Al Khaadem Youth Camp brings the theme Eternal — a return to the foundation of faith: Birr al-Wālidayn.
Because before facing the trials of the world, we must win the battle at home. Before we dream of leadership, da'wah, or great victories, we must first fulfill the oath that lasts beyond our lives, echoing into eternity.
This camp is a call for youth to rediscover the eternal weight of this command, and to live it with conviction:
To replace neglect with service.
To replace arguments with love.
To replace shame with honor.
Because at the end of the day, every parent's greatest joy is not what their children achieve in the world — but that they remain loving, respectful, and a source of comfort until the very end.

I have never been a fan of outdoor activities until I attended AKYC. I will never ever forget the experiences and valuable lessons that I got from all 7 camps that I attended. The daily tazkirah's by Sheikh Hussain Yee really made every day more valuable — not only did I have fun, I also learned so much. I will forever cherish the friendships and bonds that were built during the camp, and I am so grateful that those relationships are still strong until today. This camp taught me about leadership, critical thinking, decision making and the importance of working as a team.

I've been joining AKYC ever since I was 10 and it was always the highlight of my year. Every camp I gained different and wonderful experiences. I learned to be more independent. As a parent, I decided to send my children to AKYC to learn self determination. I hoped for them to invite and lead people as well as set goals for themselves in good ways, and to learn the proper way of solah under the guidance of Sheikh Hussain Yee. AKYC works like a normal camp: you send your children for an amazing experience that they will never forget. Except at AKYC, we follow the Quran and Sunnah.

We have gathered an amazing portfolio of speakers who will guide and instill the values of being a strong, righteous Muslim — for now and the hereafter. Every day is packed with activities that unleash their full potential physically; every night is filled with knowledge from world-renowned Islamic scholars.

Nature and attention.
The camp is held in Kuala Nerang, Padang Terap, Kedah — a state known for its nature and serenity. Capacity is capped, so every youth gets a chance to be focused on. InsyaAllah, your children will thank you for this experience in the future.
I am delighted to write a few words about the Al Khaadem Youth Camp. AKYC is a long-running youth-orientated initiative. What started out as a small-scale impromptu outing in the 80's evolved into a full-scale youth camp complete with learning materials, complex coordination of activities and international-level participants.
One of the main reasons Al Khaadem is consistently organising these camps is because the youth — as always, but especially now — are desperate for fun.
Our youth are constantly bombarded with false representations of 'fun'. Be it TV, Netflix, TikTok, social media, online games and even peer groups, the concept of 'fun' is often referred to as activities that are not permissible in our beautiful religion.
Our mission is to expose the youth to true fun. We are committed to creating an environment where the youth are exposed to life skills, outdoor activities, leadership and a strong foundation of cultural understanding. Our goal is to nurture courage and independence in the youth while also giving a sense of direction and worth as a Muslim.
While holding fast to the rope of the Sunnah, every year we seek to modernise our approach and programmes to ensure relevance with modern challenges and technologies, to assist our campers in reaching their full potential both here and in the hereafter.
We believe that this noble effort will contribute positively towards the development of an exemplary youth community. About Al Khaadem
Al Khaadem Youth Camp has been organised since the 1980s — by the youth, for the youth. The goal is to instill Islamic values and adab in a fun and holistic way. While we constantly update the programmes in line with the newest developments and issues faced by the youth, the camp consistently upholds the values and goals outlined in the Qur'an and the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Before you send them.
Do I need to bring anything for registration?
Participants will only have to bring their QR code for registration.
What kind of activities will the participants be engaged in?
AKYC aims to educate the youth to prioritise the Deen and differentiate right from wrong through the lens of Islam, arming them with the correct knowledge to shield them on the Day of Judgment.
We also promote a balance of fun outdoor activities such as river trekking, survival, tele-matches, treasure hunt and explorace, as well as engaging in edifying discussions.
They are encouraged to reflect on the part they each play throughout the day in order to extract lessons from life. The objectives of these activities are to educate the youths on the importance of leadership and teamwork, and to promote creative thinking — developing the ideal Muslim youths for a better future, inshaAllah.
What are the sleeping arrangements during the camp?
There is separate accommodation for male and female participants. Participants sleep in campus-type rooms. Each block is equipped with toilets and showers.
What safety precautions are taken? Do you have lifeguards during water activities?
The organizers require that all participants adhere to safety guidelines during every activity carried out throughout the camp. Experienced trainers and marshals are present for close supervision.
Who is involved in conducting and coordinating the camp?
The camp is conducted by FOQUS AKY Sdn Bhd, who have years of experience handling camps and events for Al Khaadem. Experienced trainers and instructors are present as well.
How do parents contact the participants during the camp?
Parents may contact the admin in charge, whose number is provided below. However, this is highly discouraged except in cases of emergency.
